FAR 1828 thermostatic head with built-in liquid sensor

The FAR 1828 thermostatic head automatically controls the opening and closing of a thermostatic radiator valve according to the room temperature. Its built-in liquid sensor detects temperature changes and adjusts the heating-medium flow through the radiator, helping maintain the selected comfort level and reduce unnecessary energy consumption.

The temperature is selected using the numbered rotary control. Position 3 corresponds to approximately 20 °C, while the complete adjustment range extends from 7 to 28 °C. The selected setting can be locked, or the available adjustment range can be restricted to prevent unwanted changes.

The head is designed for FAR thermostatic radiator valves and uses a quick-fit mounting system. Air must circulate freely around the sensor. Curtains, furniture and radiator covers may trap heat around the head and cause inaccurate room-temperature sensing. The manufacturer specifically advises against installing the head vertically above the valve.

The FAR 1828 is a regulating device, not a complete shut-off device. Even when set to position 0, it may open the valve if the temperature falls to approximately 3 °C, providing basic frost protection.
