FAR 1400 straight radiator lockshield valve for steel pipe
FAR 1400 is a straight radiator lockshield valve normally installed on the radiator return connection. It allows the heating-medium flow to be completely shut off and adjusted for hydraulic balancing of an individual radiator.
Unlike the angled FAR 1200, the FAR 1400 has a straight design, with the radiator and steel-pipe connections positioned on the same axis. It has a threaded connection for direct connection to steel pipe.
The valve features a brass protective cap, a regulating stem with a double O-ring seal and a metal closing element with an additional O-ring seal. The radiator tailpiece is factory pre-sealed with Loctite® Dri-Seal® 5061.
An HPF seat provides sealing between the tailpiece and the valve body. The body and connection components are manufactured from brass, while the sealing O-rings are made from EPDM. The chrome-plated finish provides a neat appearance for visible radiator installations.
The valve is suitable for water and water-glycol mixtures. Its nominal operating pressure is 16 bar, and its maximum operating temperature is 95 °C.
