FAR 1100 angled radiator lockshield valve for multilayer, copper or plastic pipe

FAR 1100 is an angled chrome-plated radiator lockshield valve designed for shutting off the flow and balancing a radiator. It has a FAR 24 × 19 interchangeable connection for a suitable fitting for multilayer, copper or plastic pipe. Available in 3/8″ and 1/2″ sizes.

Product description

FAR 1100 is an angled radiator lockshield valve normally installed on the radiator return connection. It allows the heating-medium flow to be shut off and adjusted to balance the radiator within the central-heating system.

The pipe side has an interchangeable FAR 24 × 19 connection. A suitable FAR fitting must be selected according to the pipe material, outside diameter and wall thickness. The valve can be used with suitable fittings for:

• multilayer pipe;
• copper pipe;
• plastic or PE pipe.

The FAR 1100 has an angled design, with the radiator and pipe connections positioned at 90 degrees. It is available in 3/8″ and 1/2″ versions, both with a FAR 24 × 19 pipe connection.

The valve features a metal-to-metal closing element with an O-ring seal and a double O-ring seal on the regulating stem. A brass protective cap helps prevent accidental adjustment and provides a neat finish for visible radiator installations.

The radiator tailpiece has a tapered thread factory pre-sealed with Loctite® Dri-Seal® 5061. An HPF seat provides sealing between the tailpiece and the valve body.

Important fitting information

The pipe fitting is not included with the valve and must be selected according to the pipe type and size.

For 16 × 2 mm multilayer pipe, use:

FAR 6055 58190 – fitting for 16 × 2 mm multilayer pipe with 24 × 19 connection.
