FAR 3489 mixing set for underfloor heating, 2 connections
FAR 3489 is a pre-assembled mixing set for underfloor heating systems or heating systems with radiant panels. It is intended for preparing and regulating a low-temperature heating circuit where the water temperature must be adapted to the operation of underfloor heating.
The set includes a regulating assembly with fixed temperature setting and a manifold section for connecting heating circuits. It is used in systems where a high-temperature heating source needs to be connected to low-temperature underfloor heating. The thermostatic mixing assembly maintains the appropriate water temperature in the underfloor heating system, while the safety thermostat limits excessive supply temperature to the system. FAR instructions state that the temperature of the mixing assembly is adjustable in steps, approximately from 18 to 55 °C, and the setting is checked with the thermometer on the assembly.
The set is suitable for installation in manifold cabinets or technical rooms where a neat connection of underfloor heating is required, with the possibility of regulation, air venting, supply and return connection, and temperature monitoring. The version with two connections allows connection of two heating circuits or two underfloor heating branches. For version 3489 13402, the listed connections are 1" × 3/4" and the outlets are 3/4" EUROKONUS.
